Great parking and refreshing river water beach for swimming
There was geese poop literally all over the beach area, it was disgusting. I would of thought the beach area would be raked like almost every beach area. It was very disappointing, first time going there and couldn't even let the kids play, at least they gave me a refund.
This is a nice park in an area that really needs a nice park. It's right on the Delaware River and is free. I use the park a lot to leave my car as a ending destination for kayaking trips and my car hasn't ever been bothered.
On Labor Day weekend Saturday the beach was closed and the park was empty. Not sure why this would be the case, but it was a sad sight nonetheless. I used it as a kayak take out spot and it worked great in that capacity.
Easy exit for us. We didn't do a "comercial canoe float" this time. We brought our own floats and had a great day. Entered upriver and left a truck here to bring us back upriver to our vehicles. Very slow float for the last half hour but perfect exit on west end. Recommend for everyone trying a river float the first time.
Cute little beach on the river. Rocky, not too many things to do, but they are working on making it better.
